Our clients envisioned transforming their 1950s kitchen, complete with faux brick walls, into a modern space suited for their expanding family. Eager to enhance the home's flow, we eagerly demolished barriers to create inviting sightlines throughout. Beyond simply opening up spaces, our goal was to craft a kitchen defined by clean lines and delightful details that bring moments of joy.
the KITCHEN
The kitchen is anchored by crisp white cabinetry, complemented by a soft grey backsplash tile and a warm butcher block countertop, creating a clean and inviting backdrop that sets the stage for the entire home. To add depth and contrast, we opted for a deep grey cabinet finish on the island, harmonizing it with a striking white quartz countertop.
A standout feature of this space is undoubtedly the island ceiling lights, which have become our latest obsession. Their soft linen shades and sleek linear black details not only illuminate the island but also establish a sophisticated ambiance that resonates throughout the kitchen. These lights seamlessly tie in with the geometric light fixture we introduced in the dining room, creating a cohesive visual narrative that enhances the overall flow and harmony of the home.
THE BATHROOM
Say goodbye to fluorescent lights and outdated oak medicine cabinets, and welcome a modern bathroom that embraces clean, geometric lines. We curated a simple yet sophisticated color palette for this space, featuring grey hexagonal floor tiles, high-variation white wall tiles, and deep wood tones at the vanity. These elements come together to create a serene atmosphere that exudes contemporary elegance.
Throughout this tranquil space, we incorporated subtle black accents that add moments of visual interest and contrast. These accents not only enhance the overall design but also provide a sense of balance and sophistication. From the sleek fixtures to the thoughtfully chosen materials, every detail in this bathroom reflects a commitment to both functionality and style.
